Hoy les traigo un disco peculiar y con un toque de humor. Se trata del Quinteto Garufa, dirigido por el afamado guitarrista José Canet. Este grupo solo publicó dos pequeños discos, y de uno de ellos surge la curiosidad que quiero compartir con ustedes.

Aquí, el excelente compositor y guitarrista José Canet, conocido por sus tangos y sus colaboraciones con Nelly Omar, explora con el Quinteto Garufa una faceta más ligera y humorística del tango.

Se trata de una apuesta por una informalidad poco habitual en el género, casi parece que el Quinteto Garufa estuviera tocando en una reunión de amigos. De hecho, en algunos temas, los integrantes del quinteto cantan acompañando al cantor, conformando un coro bastante desprolijo. Puede parecer poco serio, pero claramente es algo buscado y que queda muy divertido.

Escuchemos "De Puro Curda", esta divertida rareza del Quinteto Garufa, con la voz de Héctor Alvarado y el peculiar coro del resto de sus integrantes.

Hello tango friends!

Today I bring you a peculiar record with a touch of humor. It's by the Quinteto Garufa, directed by the renowned guitarist José Canet. This group has two small records and a curiosity that I want to share with you.

Here, the excellent composer and guitarist José Canet, known for his tangos and his collaborations with Nelly Omar, explores a lighter and somewhat humorous side of tango with the Quinteto Garufa.

It's a bet on an unusual informality in the genre; it almost feels like the Quinteto Garufa is playing at a gathering of friends. In fact, in some tracks, the quintet members sing along with the lead singer, forming a rather sloppy chorus. It might seem unserious, but it's clearly intentional and very amusing.
