¿Conocen ustedes a Alfredo De Angelis? Por supuesto que sí. ¿Y qué me dicen de Pepe Biondi, el humorista icónico de los años 60 y 70? Seguramente los argentinos lo conozcan, aunque es improbable que los extranjeros hayan escuchado su nombre alguna vez.
Biondi fue un capocómico emblemático que marcó toda una época en la televisión argentina. Poco tuvo que ver con el tango, sin embargo, hoy es uno de los protagonistas de nuestro video de la semana.
Imaginen a estos dos gigantes reuniéndose para hacer un disco. Sí, aunque suene increíble, esto sucedió…
Grabado y editado en Argentina por el sello Odeon en 1971, este disco chiquito de cuatro temas incluye las voces de Carlos Aguirre y Julián Rosales, cantores de la Orquesta de De Angelis de aquella época.
Pero lo más curioso son las glosas de Pepe Biondi en dos de los temas. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes el tango "Lo Había Visto a Gardel", donde Biondi narra su experiencia al ver a su ídolo, Carlos Gardel, caminando por la calle. Es un tema simpático y emotivo, que mezcla humor con tango de una manera única y entrañable.
Esta inesperada colaboración entre De Angelis y Biondi es una verdadera rareza, y estoy seguro de que la gran mayoría de ustedes no la han escuchado antes.

Hello tango friends!
Do you know Alfredo De Angelis? Of course you do. And what about Pepe Biondi, the iconic comedian of the 60s and 70s? Argentinians surely know him, although it's unlikely that foreigners have ever heard his name.
Biondi was a legendary comedian who defined an entire era of Argentine television. He had little to do with tango, yet today he is one of the protagonists of our video of the week.
Imagine these two giants coming together to make a record. Yes, incredible as it may sound, this actually happened...
Recorded and edited in Argentina by the Odeon label in 1971, this 7-Inch four-track record features the voices of Carlos Aguirre and Julián Rosales, singers from De Angelis' orchestra at that time.
But the most curious part is the narration by Pepe Biondi on two of the tracks. Today, I want to share with you the tango "Lo Había Visto a Gardel," where Biondi recounts his experience of seeing his idol, Carlos Gardel, walking down the street. It's a charming and emotional piece that uniquely and endearingly mixes humor with tango.
This unexpected collaboration between De Angelis and Biondi is a true rarity, and I am sure that most of you have never heard it before.
