Cuesta pensar en una orquesta típica que no tenga al bandoneón o a los bandoneones como uno de sus protagonistas principales. Sin embargo, cuando analizamos el estilo de Carlos Di Sarli nos damos cuenta que es un poco la excepción a la regla. Cuando escuchamos a Di Sarli, escuchamos a su piano omnipresente trabajando todo el tiempo, sea marcando con el contrabajo, llevando adelante la propuesta rítmica, o haciendo comentarios, las famosas campanitas o clavando un bajo grave con el pedal de sustain. Por otro lado escuchamos a la cuerda que canta y canta y canta en esos solis Interminables, bellísimos, y con ese protagonismo indiscutible en los tuttis. Pero y los bandoneones, ¿dónde están?

Los bandoneones de Di Sarli trabajan también, pero están bastante ocultos, en una forma algo camaleónica, por debajo de la cuerda y con pocas participaciones solistas o en soli.

Vamos a meternos con este tema -tan específico como importante- en el nuevo video que aquí les comparto.

Hello tango friends!

It’s hard to imagine an orquesta típica that doesn’t have one or more bandoneons as their main protagonist. However, when we analyze Carlos Di Sarli’s style we realize that it’s sort of an exception of that rule. When we listen to Di Sarli, we’re listening to his omnipresent piano which is truly working all the time, be it by marking with the double bass, carrying forward the rhythmic proposal, or making comments, the famous campanitas, or hitting a low note with the sustain pedal. On the other hand, we hear the string section singing and singing and singing in those endless, beautiful solis and with that unquestionable protagonism in the tuttis. But what about the bandoneons, where are they?

Di Sarli's bandoneons work as well, but they are quite hidden, in a chameleonic way, behind the strings and with few solos or soli parts. So let's get into this topic today, which is really beautiful and which, again, we can say is one of the keys that helps us understand and enjoy Di Sarli's style more.
